Nudges and Wallops: Following The Weft
Posted by Gaye Abbott
Last week I said that we all receive flashes of inspiration, moments of intuition that help keep us on our path to Natural Wealth. Let me expand a bit more on this.
The Race-Belief (accepted version of how things are) is that only a few of us are psychic, that the realm of intuition belongs to rare individuals who are somehow more “tuned in” to things on a nebulous, spiritual plane than the rest of us. Not so. We are all born with the same amount of intuition, the same ability to read the messages that are sent to us each and every moment of the day. One of the things that education into the Conformity Funnel teaches us is to ignore those messages.
Our schools are clear: follow your logical brain and ignore those weird, inexplicable insights that you get. We are taught to rely over-heavily on the left hand side of the brain, which controls the right hand side of our body. Hence most of us are forced to use our right hands rather than our left. (More on that another time!).
It’s a big mistake, because balance in all things is a much more efficient way to go.
Not only that, but logic can only process one thing at a time. It has to, because it is linear. Intuition, however, is the result of millions of bytes of information being processed by you in any one second. And intuition (being taught from within) comes not from the brain so much as from the heart which, as we have seen before, is the part of us that is precognitive. The chain of information-processing for us all is heart-body-head, not the other way round.
Every second of each day we are all bombarded with bits of information and our hearts and bodies are the receptors of these micro-waves of energy. Our brains merely translate them for us. So, intuition is actually far more powerful than logic. It is what connects us directly to what I call the Weft of Wealth: the fabric of the universe itself. I’ll come on to the physics behind this another time, but for now let me give you a couple of simple examples of what I call “Divine Nudges” – which is when we get little messages that we must learn to heed if we are to walk the path of Natural Wealth.
Some time ago I was driving along a country lane to speak at a seminar. It was early morning and the road was a narrow one, with hedges on either side. I was thinking about how I would start my presentation when a small bird flew out in front of me, causing me to brake slightly. It then flew along right in front of my windscreen for some fifty yards, before swooping off to one side. Paying attention to this “Divine Nudge” I slowed down, even though there was no sign of any traffic on the deserted road. As I rounded the very next bend I came face to face with a huge lorry, driving way too fast. I had time to move up onto the curb, leaving just enough room for him to screech past me without anyone being worse for wear (although I’d say he had quite a shock!). I was glad to have followed the message from the bird.
Divine Nudges like this come to us in all shapes and sizes and we do well when we pay attention to them. It may be that someone’s face flashes into our minds, which means we should call them or drop them an email. It may be that you have a sudden urge to turn right when you are intending to turn left and that in doing so you avoid a hold-up. It could be that you are discussing a purchase or an investment proposal with a salesperson and you get a quick stabbing pain in your head, foot or somewhere else: which means “walk away from this, no matter how good it sounds!”
For me, this is explained by looking at the world around us as one that is innately intelligent. It is a plethora of fields of information: and we are each simply another field of information amongst the billions of others, forever exploring and interacting with them in unseen ways, through the microwaves of energy we each emit all the time. Like a single wave on the sea, we are forever rolling back and forth, folding ourselves in and out of the main swell, at once distinct from and yet combined with it.
When we pay attention to the messages that it sends us, we find that our health improves, we are more contented and, perhaps most crucially of all in this time of economic challenges, our bank balance heads in the right direction. This is the ultimate indicator of whether we are following those Divine Nudges: wealth in its material form will only be lasting when we follow the Weft. So, if money is short, something is out of whack. If you are often sick, the same thing is true. That’s the fun of it all. We get INSTANT feedback. And the faster we react to our nudges, the easier life becomes.
Ignoring the nudges is where problems start. If we don’t pay attention, the wheels start to come off. This might be in our partnerships, our family life, our health or our finances. At first this will just seem like annoying little “glitches”, wrinkles in the sheets, but if we continue to ignore the messages, we will ultimately get what I call a Divine Wallop. These are not pleasant! They are the Weft’s way of saying “Enough is enough! You are not paying attention, so I am going to do something to really get you to sit up and listen!” Next blog I’ll tell you what happened when I got a good old Wallop from the Divine. It nearly killed me! But the beauty is that, so long as we don’t actually shuffle off the mortal coil, we have choice. And with the right choices we can redirect ourselves back onto The Path of Natural Wealth.
