What Is Divine Wealth?
Welcome to the very first postings from The Brit and The American!! Please click on the “ABOUT” page above to find out more about us, this blog, and how we connected in the first place. It is rather magical!
THE AMERICAN: As Thoreau so eloquently stated, wealth is certainly the ability to fully experience life. But how many of us truly do that? In this country we seem to be so very busy working hard to earn money that we miss the opportunities to savor life moments, and the relationships and experiences that fill them. For me, Divine Wealth is our natural and innate being state.
In every breath we take there is opportunity to increase this wealth if we choose to do so. This stuff of what we are made…a creative higher intelligence….is like a collective bank that one can draw upon which earns “interest” as we each live our full authentic expression in all areas of our lives to the best of our ability.
Easier said than done you might say with all the stimulus and responsibilities “having at us” every day. Yes, it is a very complex and changing world right now that is awakening to a much greater vision of global unity. I say, how about trying on a different perspective than the template that our western culture has us wrapped up in?
We do have choice…always…although it may not seem so a times. Close your eyes, take a full breath and rest in the pause between your inhale and exhale. There is the wealth! LIFE!
What is Wealth?
Let’s take a look at what the Oxford Dictionary tells us. It splits the word into three distinct areas:
*Money and riches
*Well being and happiness
*A sense of community-good.
In other words, wealth is not simply about earning mega-bucks (although that’s important). It’s about finding balance in all areas of life: finances, health, relationships and environment. If you aim for success in one area at the expense of another, this balance is lost. If you aim for success in all areas of life – a philosophy called Kaizen in the East – you will open the doors to true rewards.
Contrary to the bad news pumped out by television and mainstream media, the playground of our universe is not a bad place to be. Within and behind it all is a system that that allows for constant change whilst unifying everything. Einstein called this a “spirit far superior to that of man.” I call it the Divine Design.
The Divine Design is the unending process that underpins all existence: from the leaf that follows the sun as it passes across the sky to the bird that follows invisible magnetic lines on its migratory path, from the vibration of tiniest sub-atomic quark to the make-up of the hugest star. It divided the cell at the moment you were conceived. It fills your lungs with each breath that you take.
The Divine Design lives in every strand of your DNA. It lights up your eyes with the spark of laughter and fills them with tears when you feel true love. It makes your heart leap when you look with wonder at the world around you. It is, literally, what in-spires you. And it gives you the power to co-create the world around you. It gives you access to your Divine Wealth.
We have been short-changed by those who taught us. We all have far more power than we have been led to believe. We can do anything that we imagine, when we act in line with the Divine Design. But it is not enough to merely think about that power. We must take action so that we can feel it and be it: each moment, every day.
As Mahatma Ghandi said so eloquently “We must all be the change we wish to see in the world.” In other words, your future is up to you. You are responsible for the world around you, no one else. It’s your choice! Your life. RC
