Fundamentals For Changing The World

1452277_587191874663356_1201417442_n

Moving into 2014 I thought it relevant to bring some thoughts on how each of us might participate in our lives in a way that enhances our expression from wholeness.  Something that is now vitally important to the changing world that we inhabit.

The fundamentals below could also be said to be relevant for exposing and evolving our unique expression without fear in each moment of this gift of life we have been given.  For what is life if not the most precious gift possible that needs to be shared fully and extravagantly with the world in service and love.

My comments are below the quotes from Gandhi.

Gandhi’s Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing the World:

1. Change
You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.”

As our planet and systems evolve and shift to a healthier way of being the most important element in that change is the invitation you extend to yourself to deepen into the heart of living – to fully express your life from a place of transparency and vulnerability.  Your soul is beckoning you to come out.  Listen, move beyond the fear, accept the constant inevitable change, and come out dancing with your own unique being!

2. Control.
Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”

Essentially their is no control in this life as everything is always changing.  We only assume we do have control out of a sense of protection and fear.  What if we became a collaborative culture listening to and respecting others ideas and creativity, and discarded control as a reflection of our own low self worth and distrust of a moving Universe that has a wisdom way beyond what we can even comprehend?

3. Forgiveness
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
“An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”

A powerful example of this is shown in the restorative justice movement which is currently sweeping the world. It is a means – a way – to go to the very source of violence and desperation and bring healing through exposure and forgiveness.  South Africa gave us a beautiful model and now we are realizing that when perpetrator and victim can come together and deeply forgive themselves and each other that the cycle of violence is broken.   That is strength!

4. Action.
An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.”

How often have you come in contact with those that speak a volume of words but either do not take action, or live a life completely different from what they have been preaching?  Taking action from values and heart felt practices of living consciously and compassionately is what it will take to change the world.

5. The present moment.
“I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following.”

Living in the past or projecting what will happen in the future only takes us out of the moment we are in.  The present moment is all that we have – one breath in and one breath out at a time.  Shall we miss the passage of our life all together or shall we make each moment count?!

6. Everyone is human.
“I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps.”
“It is unwise to be too sure of one’s own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.”

This is called transparency.  To know that we are human and that we will make mistakes and hurt people – not out of malice or forethought, but out of being human.  As each of us relates from a place of deep understanding, compassion and kindness we inspire each other to come out of hiding and present ourselves “naked” to the world.  If everyone is doing this then we shall see how much we are really all the same….

7. Persist.
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

Staying true to your path and purpose with some changes in course from time to time – one must be resilient – is perhaps one of the most exhilarating, at times frustrating and challenging things to do.  However, what do all of the great positive change makers have in common – they persist!  By the way, don’t forget to ask for support from time to time.  This is the era for connection, collaboration and co-creation!!

8. Goodness.
I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won’t presume to probe into the faults of others.”
“I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”

When we put our attention on the good in life that is what we see and experience.  When we put our attention on the good in people they seem to relate to us from the place where we have placed our attention. What could be simpler?!

9. Truth
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
“Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.”

Mindfulness in all that we do contributes to living in truth – truth of the moment and the truth of what we feel and express in each of those moments.  It may be challenging to cozy up with truth at times, but the alternative is to live our precious lives in a flurry of self inflicted lies and assumptions.  Whenever your mind makes an assumption or tells you a story ask the question – Is this true?  Bet it won’t be most of the time!

10. Development.
“Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position.”

Once again we come back to the truth that everything changes.  There is nothing – I repeat nothing – in this world that ever stays the same.  That includes everything.  So why hang on to old stories, philosophies and rigid rules when you could have such a grand time co-creating a new world one new development at a time….and then like a child’s building blocks let them all fall down and start over again.  It is in the very act of creation where lies the spark of life…

Fully Present and Making A Difference!

556959_10151519106855435_1784461972_n

Our journey is all unknown until we find ourselves fully present in the moment of it.  It is at those times that we find a power so deeply embedded within us that it is simply a part of who we are.  However, we often forget this.

Last week an inspiring video came my way that you can access below. It speaks volumes to the creative potential, ingenuity, and passion that arises when each individual brings their uniqueness to the table while supporting the whole.  As the conductor of this very unique orchestra, Luis Szaran declares, “Music is the smile of the soul ….and a bridge between worlds for social transformation.”

As you will see trash becomes music.  Playing melodies made out of trash that moves peoples hearts is a testament to the wise statement above – “You had the power all along…”   Take some time to watch Landfill Harmonic and see where it leads you!

Where There Is Love, There Is Life

480268_602288759787449_466801905_n

Years ago now I was a participant in a week long retreat facilitated by friends where breath, sound therapy and body work were combined to take each individual, and the group as a whole, into very deep states of stillness in the mind and the body.  What transpired there was not merely an experience, but a way of perceiving, and an awareness, that to this day I will never forget.

What I felt near the end of the week was the most astounding awareness.  One that was embodied, not simply known in the mind as a concept. It is difficult to describe in words a knowing that all of us carry inside but constantly forget.   Yet what I will say is that there was no doubt at all that we are simply and absolutely love.  That is the energy that creates us as we are and continues to be the source of our life.

I have been lucky enough to still hold this awareness and way of perceiving within me even though my mind attempts to pull me out constantly.  It is a life long practice to keep going back to the power and awareness of the creative energy and being of love that drives everything around and within us.  We keep forgetting…

Dr. Brian Green, a famous string theory physicist was here in my town of Austin, Texas a couple of weeks ago.  As he talked everyone’s mind was stretched beyond the confines of the everyday reality that we live in on a day to day basis. it struck me that even the incredible creation of and within multiple universes is merely a larger reflection of what is happening – let’s say between two humans.

Through merging, breaking apart, collisions, deterioration and even death there is always a creative force that is underlying all 164427_602274153122243_1970267722_nlife.  The creation fueled by the energy of love.  A force so strong that when accessed can shift individuals, communities, nations, planets,  and even universes.

Ghandi’s statement above has been voiced by many of the leaders and indigenous peoples of our times.   We actually all know this as an absolute truth.  Isn’t it time to bring back the collaboration, cooperation and acknowledgement that all life is created from the creative energy of love….and that without it everything falls apart.  Let’s start now….

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice –
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do –
determined to save
the only life you could save.
~ Mary Oliver ~

The intimate connection between ourselves, others and each life form that inhabits this planet, and beyond, has gained more and more recognition.  Our collective memories, both individual and from the past, oftentimes keep us stuck in the shame that Richard spoke of in the last post.  These embodied emotional and physical traumas leak body memories to our consciousness that have us forgetting the very nature of who we are.

In yoga class this morning we were asked to listen to the poem above by Mary Oliver and move from a place of remembering – remembering who we are – without the voices from the past or the ones of the present directing the particular life moment.  Often our eyes were closed as we stepped into the flow of what was unwinding from our core – instead of someone else’s direction.

What is it like to follow that inner knowing, dropping silently inside capturing the whisperings of that inner insistence on the uniqueness of truth, movement, actions, and feelings in any one moment.  What are we afraid of?  Or is it that we can hardly hear the  voice of our own unique being for all the demands and stimulus around us.

Yes, the only life we can save – living as uniquely as possible – is our own.  There are more and more moments these days when I feel the solid strength of what this is like.   One of those places is hanging out on an ecstatic dance floor where the “rule” is to have no self imposed restrictions, but instead to explore, listen and move from that place of complete connection to the greater energy that moves us all.

Old patterns of being and moving melt away as the intention for everyone on the dance floor becomes a moving art piece of breath, movement, contact, exploration, play and absolute love and respect.  For someone that loves dance it is a “home coming” to the deepest parts of who we are.

The film Jane’s Journey, shows us someone who listened to her own unique voice in spite of what others might have wanted for her.  For someone like Jane Goodall it was a simple very deeply felt passion that moved her as a young woman to follow her childhood dreams.  Now at 78 she is still traveling the world speaking her truth and impacting millions of people to care for each other and our planet in the most compassionate, loving and peaceful of ways.

What price is taken when we step away from the journey that is uniquely our own?  We become lost in the thoughts and actions of others and forget that we have come here to create and love as only we can do and be.  Today a young man who had never received flowers from a woman was gifted with a single flower of beauty as he sat at his check out stand at the local organic food store.  This happened because I heard loud and clear the voice that directed me to take this loving action as I left the store the first time I was there. What impact did this have?  Let’s just say I am still smiling….and I am certain so is he.

Choose a journey that reflects the magnificence of who you are and do not listen to anyone or anything that takes you away from that knowing!

Listen….

Diving Deeper For Life

Half of the Austin populace it seemed was walking around our local downtown lake with me today in the glorious sunshine.   My attention was drawn to the American Coot who populates these waters in great numbers.  Sitting on a rock wall I watched as many of the coots were drawn to a nearby human bread throwing frenzy where a meal was had quite easily.   Yet right in front of me there were others that would disappear and speed down towards the bottom of the clear watered lake.  Up they would pop with a tasty morsel of plant life ripe with fresh green growth to munch on,  and I am certain tiny creatures clinging to that growth.  Sometimes it takes a dive deeper down to harvest the best of life’s offerings.  How about you – are you diving deep or staying on the surface of your own life?

To Struggle Or Not To Struggle – Is That Really The Question?

Dear Richard,

What a beautiful metaphor for the transition I am now making!  Thank you.  I feel in good company as many of us on the planet, and the earth itself,  are in great shifts right now – yes, a rebirth.

You speak of trusting this new support system coming in as I transition into the fullness of having streams of income be completely from my own creative efforts.  This transition I am finding is a powerful one, and also one in which there are choices to be made while navigating the new territory.

Last week I had a dream that I was out in the ocean by myself happily swimming around when I was caught in a rip current.  At first I was afraid of drowning and struggled a bit to free myself from its grip.  Then I remembered that you are supposed to simply let go and allow the current to take you where it is going.  Once I surrendered there was no more struggle and I was carried quite rapidly to the point where the rip current ended and was once again back into calm waters where I could then swim back to shore.

This dream was clearly a gift from the unconscious to support me during a time last week when I was attempting to do a task that would have taken a very steep learning curve to perform well.  In the time constraint that I was under my frustration level grew with the stress of knowing what I wanted, but realizing that there was no way I was going to pull it off if I didn’t ask for help.

I could choose to struggle or I could ask for help and not struggle.  But  was that really the issue here?  What was more at stake was an attachment to being the one that could pull this off and save some money.  The attachment was causing the struggle in the first place.  Was I going to sink, swim, or merely let go and see what would arise as a resolution to the challenge I was facing.  I do believe that the solution or resolution to any problem is there before the problem…and so it was in this case.

I was attempting to format a website (in fact the Natural Wealth website) and didn’t have the expertise to do so in a timely way.  But, I did have a resource that was right at my fingertips.  This person had already done some beautiful formatting work for us.  As I released the attachment to being the one to pull it off, it became very clear what course of action should be taken.

As the choice was made to have this task done by a professional I became free of the attachment and was in fact able to swim in waters where I could be effective without the struggle.  Breathing eased and opened.  My frustration level went to zero.

My efforts were then much more effective because I was enjoying a challenge that inspired me (swimming freely in the ocean) instead of frustrating me (the rip current).  Someone else was handling what felt to me like a rip current, but to her was an enjoyable challenge.

I can truthfully say that this new support system is powerfully nourishing……. if only I remember to let go of the attachment of how I “should be” within it.  No struggle necessary.  Be breathed and follow the heart indeed! On that note I end with this quote:

Carry a jar of bubbles in your car.
Add a little fantasy
to the next traffic jam.    – Jennifer Louden

With Love,
Gaye

Chaotic Wholeness: Handing Over My Life

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.~Albert Einstein

Dear Richard -

Something very powerful has settled within me.  It is actually astounding…and feels as if I have “come home” in the most profound way.  This is a home within that I know, dwelled in sporadically over the years,  yet couldn’t seem to stay in.

For you the reader, let me just say that this “home sanctuary” inside brings me heightened pleasure in all that I do and a sense of deep belonging – not necessarily to the world that we can all see, but instead to something much larger that cannot be explained in words.  It is that interconnection that you Richard speak of.

How did this happen?  I understand in a more embodied way now that this chaotic wholeness that you speak of Richard resonates within me and all living things in the cosmos.  I understand that there is an order present within the seeming disorder….inside and outside of me.  Yet, I did not trust this order.  Instead, for most of my life, I felt that I must control things in life to stay “safe” and “secure” – a belief/thought systems approach to guaranteeing that I would never feel fully free.

I too know deep within my cells that everything is interconnected.  This interconnection and attraction is happening in every moment.  Now I feel it!  It is not just mind talk….it is heart whispering!  What happened to nudge me where I am now staying within myself??

Since I can make up any story I want (and mind you I am aware it is only a story)  here goes.  I have literally handed over my life to inner guidance, outward signs and messages, and following wherever my heart takes me. Along with that goes complete and absolute TRUST.  Not just some of the time, but all of the time.

Oh, yes I catch my mind cooking up schemes to take me into fear, lack, or anxiety, but thankfully I must have passed some sort of God/Spirit/Creator test because it amazingly doesn’t stick.  My mind is turning back flips trying to get my attention…but baby I am not buying the old beliefs being paraded out in new clothes and razzle dazzle in an attempt to disguise the true agenda here – to keep me stuck, in doubt, anxiety ridden, fear based, and in a carefully constructed box for safe keeping.

Could it be as simple as that I ask?  Well if you were living my life right now you would have to take notice.  The amount of synchronicity that happens on a daily basis – that I now notice mind you – is amazing!  For just one small example I will tell you a little story:

10 days ago now I decided to take a little early evening walk in the condo complex that I am living in, temporarily housed by a very generous and gracious friend by the name of Judy.  On that walk the first thing that I realized was that it was not only peaceful and quiet where I was staying, but the entire complex was like that (right in the middle of Central Austin!).

Not only that, but the mature trees everywhere, the landscaping, creeks and green space that surround the entire complex, friendly diverse residents,  and the natural beauty left me walking back home with a smile on my face and happiness within.  I felt blessed to simply live here for a while until I found a place of my own.

Then it happened.  That small whisper of guidance telling me to imagine that I did have a place of my own here….a home sanctuary where I could do my creative work and feel at peace within a community…and very close to everything that I frequent.  In fact not more than 10 minutes from organic food, yoga studio, spring fed lap pool, live music, culture, walking paths around the lake…well, you get the picture.

It should be noted that before I moved here I had been looking at lease listings near the downtown area and had set my sights on being right in the middle of everything.  Once here, I realized that perhaps that “must” should dissolve into “let’s see what unfolds itself”.  It was from that place of handing over that I took that walk.

The heart direction was obviously telling me to imagine myself living in the complex, but I took it one step further from leasing.  I expanded that vision to buying something in the complex (even though my current financial status would not indicate that was possible at all!)  It felt like the Divine Design that Richard speaks of was taking me down a path of discovery here.

When I returned back to the condo that I am currently staying at I spoke to Judy about how I felt about the complex on my walk and that I would like to consider leasing, or even buying a unit here.  She was thrilled and, of course, had a Home Owners Association newsletter right next to her and showed me the addresses of the units for rent and those to buy.  She suggested that perhaps I should contact my real estate agent and have her show me some properties that were for sale, and also call the owner of the one for lease.

I dutifully kept following through by my hearts GPS and e-mailed my real estate contact.  The owner for the unit for rent did not answer his phone, and there was surprisingly no message machine.  Going to bed imaging that I was living here in my own home sanctuary, I woke up in the morning to find a note on the refrigerator from Judy.  It said, “please include me in looking at the Hemingway property (one of the few single story units here) because I may buy it”!  Needless to say I laughed out loud.  Perhaps it wasn’t right timing for me to buy…but someone else was going to buy it and lease it to me!

Without getting any lengthier in this story I will just say that I have held the possibility of  living in this complex within me.  We did go see the Hemingway property, and a couple of others.  Within 3 days of my declaring that I was happily living here, Judy put an offer down on the single story 3- bedroom/2 bath  unit opening onto a green space with beautiful trees, and the sellers accepted it which was $11,000 less that what they had been asking for.

Judy gets here investment property, I receive a home sanctuary, and I am still smiling at the miracle that unfolded right before my eyes!  Listen to the heart directed inner guidance, take action from that guidance….and then hand it over.  It may not go exactly as you envisioned it to, but it will always be the right thing to happen for your highest good.

My mantra for each dayGuide me.  Protect me.  I will follow through from your guidance leading with my heart.  Thank you for your guidance that you give to me.  I am always open to receive more and more.  I surrender with courage, trust, faith, passion, and  arms open wide.

Would you like to live your life as if everything is a miracle?  Thanks Richard!

P.S.  Judy just told me she was able to lock in an interest rate at the low end which just changed today due to the economic climate here in the U.S.  I had written down that she would get an interest rate at 5% or less.  It was less: 4.75%!

Health Messages From Within

Good Morning Gaye!

To return to health: in your last post you wrote: “When we are doing what we love and what “turns us on” I have learned that our bodies respond with increased energy and vital health. However, there are times when there is an imbalance present and we fall prey to some malady – hopefully minor like a headache or cold. Are there messages here as well?”

Absolutely!

The body is a finely-tuned instrument, constantly giving us feedback on the state of our mind and more importantly our spirit. Hence the expression to “keep your spirits up” meaning to keep yourself in good health.

In today’s world of rush, rush, rush there’s an imbalance in the emphasis placed on material solutions. These are usually quick fixes that rarely produce lasting solutions, not least because they address individual symptoms rather than looking at the body as a whole (which would include the aspects of mind and feeling as well as simply the physical). They simply suppress a symptom, rather than addressing the root cause, which is much the same as the fairy tale of the Princess and the Pea: putting a mattress on top of the others may mask the irritant for a while, but it never gets rid of the cause.

I could expand here about the pharmaceutical industry and how I see it, but you know about all that. It’s enough to say that the top six companies (in terms of worldwide revenue) are pharmaceutical companies and that their combined income exceeds the combined income of the next 94!

Back to treatment. Many older cultures knew the value of treating medical conditions through attending to the spiritual or non-physical side of life. So what is this non-physical part of life? Mostly it is your emotions, your feelings, the energy that creates movement in your cells. Some call it God, some the Life Force, but the labels don’t matter. All that’s important is to know that this Divine part of you is the one that sees the bigger picture.

If your body is the counter on the Boardgame of Life, your Divine Self is the one who picks up the dice and moves you around. When you follow your intuitions and inspirations without fear, you allow this Divine Self to lead you to the places and experiences that are most rewarding. But if you struggle against your intuitions, using logic to rationalize actions that are contrary to your Spirit, you’ll create health issues for yourself. This is, quite simply, because you are going against your Divine Self, your better nature. “To thine own self be true” is as good advice now as it was when William Shakespeare wrote it. The secret is to know that your spirit is as much as your “own self” as your body or mind…

One of the many wise men and women to have graced our planet once said: “Movement is the barometer of the soul.” This encapsulates what you are talking about when you mention the increased energy and vitality that you feel when you are doing what you love. How your cells are vibrating is a direct reflection of how you feel in heart and spirit. The greater the sense of spiritual integrity, balance and foundation, the stronger and more vibrant you’ll be! So, following the promptings of your heart is not just new age mumbo-jumbo: it’s a proven way to better health.

The science behind it is simple. When you do what you love, the movement of electricity inside your cells feels no resistance. You become a seamless conduit for the impulses emitted by your heart. The only thing that can break that circuit is a thought that encourages you to go against the promptings of your Divine Self. That is what creates dis-ease, which is literally a movement within your cells that runs contrary to the desires of your Divine Self. Your body, therefore, is the perfect instrument to tell you whether you are on track on not, whether you are paying attention to the messages that are all around us, or whether you are ignoring them!

Next time I’ll use this idea of the Barometer of the Soul to look at common aches and pains and see what they say about our emotional and spiritual states…and what you can do about them.

Until then – Dance, dance, wherever you may be!

Much love,
Richard.

Courageous or Crazy? Painting Outside of The Lines

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us “universe”, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest… a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”Albert Einstein

I start with this beautiful and insightful quote by Einstein as I believe that when we choose to walk upon what Richard and I call the path of Natural Wealth we must keep opening to “widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty”.

I find that as we do this we can no longer accept separation from the whole, but instead must embody the wealth of the life that we have been given,  constantly learning that as we are courageous – or crazy as some people will judge – this widens our experience of the life we have been given.

I am finding that part of being courageous is to “demand definite leads” as Richard stated in his last post, and then actively follow them!  Playing a passive role in a life changing self-created shift just doesn’t seem to work. However,  I have to confess that the word “demand” did make me uncomfortable as it energetically made me picture a willful child demanding that they get their way.  Unyielding! …yet this journey “demands” that at times we must yield, or let go into following the leads as they appear at our doorstep.

So given all of that…the word that I have chosen for myself is “declaring” that definite leads are coming my way – and they are!.  A matter of semantics perhaps…..but finding the right fit, being aware of how it feels inside, and seeing what it ignites on my particular path of Natural Wealth is important….. and a confirmation of what you Richard have spoken on about the importance of feelings!

Feelings produce a deeper knowledge that runs within the cells without the resistance of logic.  That knowledge brings certainty, calmness, assurance.  It is the candle that lights your way to Natural Wealth and your Faith and Trust are the hands cupped around it, ensuring that the flame never blows out.”

Follow Every Lead” is also something that I would add to this discussion.  Our minds would have us judge many of the “nudges”, or leads, that come our way each day  as not important, not acceptable to follow,  “impossible”, or they get overlooked all together.  I am here to say – follow every one!…and trust that your feelings/heart will tell you when you should let go or turn in another direction.  I would go so far as to say definitely follow those leads that seem rather crazy to you or that you have never even considered.  They often are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! (more stories in future posts!)

As I was slogging through the cleaning and packing up of my little cottage this past weekend in preparation for my move to a friend’s home for the next 5 weeks before the launch to Austin,  I found myself doubting my sanity in moments.  This move out would mark yet another step forward with all indications that there was “no turning back!”  Was I really doing the “right” thing?

Just as I was in the midst of those feelings a very large bird appeared outside of my sliding glass door soaring in the air completely free and at liberty to go wherever he/she wanted to go.   As Richard’s bird saved him from a head on collision with a lorry, my bird reminded me of my hearts strong message that I definitely am on the right path and I am actually free in this very moment….and all of the moments to follow.  It is a matter of perception, and willingness to keep listening to the hearts constant guidance.

And the “craziness” continues……A month or more ago I declared that I was moving to Austin and moving out of my current home before the actual relocation. A week ago I gave notice at my current nursing job that my last day would be 7/1/11.

As I take each step I am making it an intriguing practice to listen to what other people comment about my particular journey.  Most of these comments or questions have to do with quitting a “secure job with benefits”, moving to a new location where I have not secured a “job”, not having a “secured” home to live in once I arrive there,  or the reason for the relocation must have to be a man, family or friends.    Note worthy is the word “secure” whether it be stated outright or merely inferred.

The most common comment made to me is that I am very brave…or maybe I am just crazy!  I can actually see/feel these people quacking in their boots so to speak at the mere thought of this free fall of trust!  Our culture has brain washed us well.  The next comment that people make is “I would be too scared to do what you are doing”.   So I ask you, am I courageous or am I simply crazy??

My answer to this, if you would like to know, is that I am both – and proud to claim the last one!  Living our lives inside of the lines of accepted cultural thought and roles is acceptable.  Given this, if one colors outside of the lines – then you must be crazy!

What if crazy means living in possibility and trust.  Not having to pin down anything because you have opened to your whole being (some would say God here) and aligned with possibility and opportunity.   Being and embodying the magnificent being that you are, loving and living fiercely within that sacred space of your life.

In parting I say,  join me as I get out the paints, allow the heart to guide the way, and definitely paint outside of the lines that have been drawn around a carefully self-contained life.  “…… “It is the candle that lights your way to Natural Wealth and your Faith and Trust are the hands cupped around it, ensuring that the flame never blows out.”

It may be messy….but oh what fun!!

Demand Definite Leads

Dear Gaye,

Before I move on to Divine Wallops…a quick note.

You asked me “off air” how to reach the trust and faith that everything will come about as you desire.  My first comment is to know that everything you dream of has ALREADY come about on the metaphysical plane, where there is no such thing as delay.  Belief in waiting for something to happen is part of the Conformity Funnel and plays no part in wealth creation unless we allow it to.

Secondly: how to listen-up to the Divine Nudges we talked about.

It is not always easy to follow the Divine Nudges that are sent our way.  Anxieties naturally creep in, often just at the least convenient moments.  Old fears raise their heads above the windowsill, peering in at you and making you tremble.  It can be confusing to know what to do.

One quick way to turn your attention back to the matter in hand (which is to create wealth in all its forms as quickly and effortlessly as possible) is to make sure you demand definite leads.  This will help you to distinguish between a Divine Nudge and a jolt of fear based on old belief patterns.

Don’t be wishy washy with this one.  Demand leads (rather than asking for them).  Make definite statements – aloud if it helps.

For instance, you are about to look for somewhere to live in Austin, so make this statement: “I give thanks for finding the perfect new home at the perfect time in the perfect place” or “Bring me the right home at the right time in which I can flourish in every way.”

Don’t ask for a particular house or apartment.  A lot of people make this mistake, asking for something very specific and then being disappointed when it doesn’t materialize.  “But Richard,” they say to me, “I followed your advice and demanded a definite outcome, but still didn’t get what I wanted”.

“That’s because it was obviously not what is best for you,” is my reply.  “You must make the definite demand, then hand over, trusting in the Way of the Weft, which is to listen, understand and respond in kind.  If what you are asking for is in line with who you really are, you will receive the desired outcome (often much more quickly than appears possible!)

Indeed, it cannot be taken from you, because it is ALREADY YOURS.  On the other hand, if what you are demanding is not in line with who you really are, it will never bring you fulfilment, so be grateful for not getting it!”

In other words, if something is not forthcoming, don’t push it.  Struggle is part of the old race-belief, rather than the way of Natural Wealth. If you push something against its grain, you will only be pushing against your own.

For you right now, Gaye, the following demand might be useful: “Show me the perfect way to turn my income into six figures, now!”  Or you can make this larger.  It’s up to you.  We are limited only by our expectations and our ability to choose to go beyond them!

Remember, we receive Divine Nudges ALL THE TIME: every second, every day – with each breath that we take.  They are part of what inspires us.  To help you to heed them, try simple statements like these: “I am fully awake in to my intuitions!  I never miss a single trick!  Give me definite leads!”

Add to that something that helps transform indecisiveness (one of the least useful things in business) into courage by stating: “I see clearly.  I feel fully.  I let my heart decide!”

One thing here.  Affirmations and demands such as these are simply tools to help direct you back to the Path of Natural Wealth.  They are not the key to achieving your goals, because they are rooted in thought.

This is where a lot of people go wrong.  They think that simply by thinking something it will immediately be so.  But there is more to it than that.  Thinking something is useful, but only if you have already changed the way you think from how you used to.  We can’t change our lives if we’re still using old thought-patterns to do it.  That’s like Einstein’s definition of insanity, doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result!

Changing the way we think is a starting point, but thoughts themselves do not activate lasting changes in our circumstances.  They are the signposts, not the destination.  They merely direct us onto to path.

What is it then that creates the real shifts and brings about swiftest, most effective change?  Feelings.  Change the way we feel and we shift the way we think, which means we start creating in a whole new way.

Feelings produce a deeper knowledge that runs within the cells without the resistance of logic.  That knowledge brings certainty, calmness, assurance.  It is the candle that lights your way to Natural Wealth and your Faith and Trust are the hands cupped around it, ensuring that the flame never blows out.

PRACTICE:  So, my encouragement is to always have fun when you’re making demands or affirmations like the ones above.  Sing them out loud.  Chant them.  Dance to them.  Combine physical movement with the words.  Get to a place where you can FEEL the shift inside you, the movement from fear to faith. Then bring that feeling with you into the day.  If you waver at any moment, simply repeat the process (no matter where you are!) until you recapture the feeling.

Having fun with it really IS key!

Until next time,
Richard.
